1. Service Provider

These Terms of Service govern your use of services provided by AtBice AB (org.nr: 559XXX-XXXX), a company registered in Sweden.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services. These Terms form a binding contract between you and AtBice AB.

3. Services Description

AtBice provides digital services and subscriptions. Specific features and limitations are described on our website and may vary by subscription tier.

4. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your password confidential and secure
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Pricing

All prices are in SEK and include Swedish VAT (25%) where applicable. Prices for EU customers include VAT at the rate applicable in your country.

5.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept cards, Swish, SEPA Direct Debit, and Klarna.

5.3 Free Trials

Some subscriptions include a free trial period. You will not be charged during the trial. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.

5.4 Plan Changes

You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time. Changes take effect immediately with prorated billing adjustments.

6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

Under EU consumer protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

Exception: For digital content, if you have expressly consented to begin performance during the withdrawal period and acknowledged losing your right of withdrawal, the right does not apply.

To exercise withdrawal, contact [email protected] with your order details. Refunds are processed within 14 days using the original payment method.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by consumer protection law or our Right of Withdrawal policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Transmit malware or harmful code
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Use automated systems to scrape or overload our services
  • Resell or redistribute our services without authorization

9. AI Tools and Open-Source Models

9.1 How our AI tools work

Some AtBice tools (for example, the "Read it to me" text-to-speech tool) run an open-source AI model entirely within your own browser or on your own device. When you first use such a tool, the model is downloaded to your device and runs locally. The text or other input you provide, and the audio or other output produced, are processed on your device and are not transmitted to AtBice or any third party for the purpose of operating the tool. Output is machine-generated and provided "as is"; it may be inaccurate, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.

9.2 Open-source model licensing and notice

These tools incorporate third-party open-source components, made available to you under their own licenses. AtBice does not own these components and makes them available subject to those licenses; all trademarks and attribution notices remain with their owners. For the "Read it to me" tool:

  • English voice — Kokoro-82M, under the Apache License 2.0 (licence).
  • Swedish voice — the Piper engine (MIT) with a voice under CC BY 4.0 / MIT (licence).
  • Phonemiser — eSpeak NG, under the GNU GPL v3, distributed unmodified (licence; written offer for source).

You must comply with these licenses when you use the tools or their output. Output is machine-generated; you are solely responsible for reviewing it and for how you use it.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on our platform belong to AtBice AB or our licensors. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our services for personal or internal business purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Swedish law:

  • Our services are provided "as is" without warranties
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to amounts paid in the past 12 months

These limitations do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Swedish or EU law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply if they provide greater protection. Disputes shall be resolved by Swedish courts, without prejudice to your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice via email or website notification. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes to subscription terms will not apply retroactively to your current billing period.
